Newly elected president of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Archbishop Daniel Okoh, has charged President Muhammadu Buhari to end bloodletting and all manners of insecurity pervading the country.
Mr Okoh made the appeal shortly after he was unveiled as the next leader of the foremost umbrella body of Nigerian Christians.
Chukwuemeka Woke, Chief of Staff to Governor Nyesom Wike, believes the PDP would win the governorship poll.
According to him, the people appreciate the massive infrastructural transformation by the Wike administration and would want it sustained.
This was as the governor alleged the senatorial candidate of the party in the zone, Ann Agom-Eze, was embarking on a campaign of calumny to curry cheap sympathy from unsuspecting members of the public.
The Borno government says it has closed down four Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camps and resettled 11,000 households in six communities across the state.
Governor Babagana Zulum who spoke at the official closing of the four IDP camps on Thursday in Maiduguri, said the feat was achieved following the return of peace in the state.
He listed the IDP camps to include Dalori 1, Dalori 2, Gubio Road and Muna El-Badawi.
